Kit: $25.00 (Includes canvas, stitch guide, fibers, and needle) January 9th: 9:30 - 12:30 – Twas the Night Before Christmas… Our new Christmas club features mini stockings which tell the story of “The Night Before Christmas”. I envision these finished as ornaments rather than actual mini-stockings with the stanzas of the poem embroidered on the backs. (Thank heavens for a great finisher!) These classes will be a little different from our regular ones. We’ve asked the designer to make some changes to the design, and then we’ll be making more on our own. This is an excellent opportunity to learn how to add your vision to the designer’s! (If you can’t make it in person, all of our classes are also available as kits.) In November we worked on the Reindeer and the background – now it’s time for the ornaments! Imagine a wooden box with the Reindeer on the front, some really cool feet and white sparkly branches coming out of the box that you can hang your ornaments on… Of course this guy would also make a lovely box top or pillow – your choice. They’re fun, they’re fast and they’re colorful. Each pattern introduces new techniques, so at the end of the series you can embroider your heart out! Normally Nashville Night is held on the Thursday after the market, but for the last two years we’ve moved it to Saturday, so now you have the entire day to shop! Canvas: $33.00 Fibers: TBA March 27th: 9:30 – 12:30 – Raymond Crawford’s Holiday Bell When the Wednesday group saw this canvas in the last issue of Needlepoint Now, we just knew we had to do a class! This would make a gorgeous pillow or box top. The canvas is 8x8 on 18ct mesh. There’s also a red and gold border that doesn’t show in the picture. I can’t wait to get started on this! Finally, since this is a bigger canvas than our normal Raymond ornaments, we’ll be spreading the cost and the stitching over two class sessions. So we’ll be spending the weekend at the Mission Inn, and Pam and Hilde will be holding down the fort for us. Please come and keep them company! May 29th: Stitch-In Picnic: Bring your stitching and, if you like, a dish to share for our 1st Memorial Day Stitch-in Picnic. (Food is not required – a desire to have fun is!) June 5th: 9:30 – 12:30 – Cassandra Santa has his 8 tiny reindeer, but Cassandra’s got 5 flying bats! This canvas is so adorable and unique - there are reins for the bats, cute buttons for the pumpkin moons, and I just love the separate car for the cat. This canvas is going to be a lot of fun! We’ll be spreading the cost and the stitching for Cassandra over two class sessions. (If you can’t make it in person, all of our classes are also available as kits.)
